Northeastern Illinois University, M.A. Special Education-LBS1

My name is Maria Mazariegos, a special education teacher at Acero Brighton Park Charter School. I am so excited to start my 3rd  year of teaching in the FLIGHT special education classroom and my 5th year in Brighton Park. I worked as a kindergarten apprentice my first year at BP and then as a special education apprentice the second year.  I have my undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and I am currently working on my graduate degree from Northeastern Illinois University.

Room 107 is a class full of excitement and adventures. Everyday there is something new to learn. Students are learning academic, social, communication and life skills.

In my free time, I enjoy watching movies, hanging out with family and friends and spending the day with my daughter.
